I came to my foster mom and dad from a Corpus Christi area shelter. I was an owner surrender. I am a happy-go-lucky and very loving girl. I had a litter, but I am now fixed, and I am microchipped.
I am house broken, and I will go into a crate without a fuss. I like to go on walks and do well on a leash. I ride well in a car and like to go on rides and adventures. I really like treats, especially Milk Bones and will sit and stay on command to get one. I am just now learning how to play with chew toys. I am a snuggle bug and am happy to curl up next to you on the couch and watch TV. When it’s time for bed I like to snuggle up to you near the bottom of the bed, but I will also sleep in my crate.
I am a very curious girl. I will follow you around inspecting and investigating everything you are doing just to be sure you are doing it right, but I will also find a spot near where you are working to lie down and just relax while watching you work.
I get along with my foster sisters who are Catahoula mixes too.
If you are interested in adopting Gidget, click at the link below: http://www.nehoularescue.com/adoption-application.html
Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.
If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.
Gidget’s adoption donation is $450 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and neuter depending on age at time of adoption. We do not have a physical shelter; all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
