Winston is a sweet Catahoula good-boy with lots of energy and so smart! He catches on quickly to setting boundaries and will appreciate a confident, experienced dog owner. Winston will be a great companion to those who can provide daily vigorous exercise. A large yard or a farm would be best. Since he has great endurance, and agility, he could excel agility, running, fly ball, working stock or any sport with running and thinking! So far, he has enjoyed living with female dogs and can get along with cats. Winston can be a snuggle bug at times, affectionate and loyal.

Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.

If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.

Winston’s adoption donation is $400 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and neuter depending on age at time of adoption. We do not have a physical shelter; all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
