Sparky
Breed: Australian cattle Dog Age: 1-2 year old +/- Weight: 40 lbs Medical: Up-To Up-To-Date on Vaccinations, microchipped, neutered Cat Friendly: Unknown Dog Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Ages 8+ House Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Location: Tennessee SPARKY IS A VERY SWEET, YOUNG AND ACTIVE BLUE HEELER ACD WHO LOVES EVERYONE HE MEETS. HE PLAYS WELL WITH OTHER DOGS AND PAYS NO MIND TO OUR CHICKENS. I THINK HE WOULD DO WONDERFULLY IN A HOME WITH OTHER DOGS AND CHILDREN BECAUSE HE IS SUPER PLAYFUL AND ENERGETIC. HE WOULD ALSO DO WELL ON A FARM/HOMESTREAD WHERE HE WOULD HAVE A JOB TO DO. HE IS NOW HOUSE TRAINED AND CRATE TRAINED BUT STILL NEEDS WORK WITH WALKING ON A LEASH. HE WAS PICKED UP AS A STRAY DOG IN SEPTEMBER AND WAS ON THE “URGENT” LIST AT ANIMAL CONTROL BECAUSE HE NEEDED VET CARE TO HAVE A CHAIN REMOVED FROM HIS NECK THAT WAS EMBEDDED. EVEN THOUGH SPARKY’S LIFE STARTED DIFFICULT, WE HAVE COMPLETE CONFIDENCE THAT HE KNOWS THE DAYS AHEAD WILL BE BETTER. If you are interested in adopting Sparky, click at the link below: http://www.nehoularescue.com/adoption-application.html Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. Sparky’s adoption donation is $350 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and neuter depending on age at time of adoption. We do not have a physical shelter; all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada. |
