The most handsome dog you’ve ever seen. Name: Sawyer - neutered male Age: 2 (Presumed DoB: 8/25/2022) Weight: ~70lbs Loves: Ice Cubes, empty TP/Paper Towel Rolls & cardboard boxes, Snuggles, Bum Scratches, and being a dedicated member of the Neighborhood Watch Crew Working on: Excitability & Pulling on a leash - he genuinely believes he is a lapdog sized sled dog, and neither of these are true Best at: Social interactions (he’s great with every person and dog he’s met so far!) & making his humans laugh with his goofy antics! Looking for: An active, patient, and stable home that is ready to put in some work on big puppy manners in exchange for a whole lotta laughs and love! Dogs: yes (larger dogs suggested, as he is unaware of his size) Cats: likely fine with dog-savvy cats, but must test Kids: 10+ because he’s a goof and jumps around Housetrained: yes Crate Trained: Mostly- settles well once in the crate, but does not get in easily/willingly. Foster Comments: Sawyer’s ice blue eyes and handsome looks will reel you right in with a great personality to seal the deal! He’s got the softest, silkiest ears that I could sit and pet all day. He’s an incredibly sweet & silly boy who’s chock full of love to give a lucky new family! He will require work on his manners & obedience, but he’s very food/treat motivated, so he is easy to work with. So far, it seems he knows sit, lay down, ‘shake’ (give paw), and come (when he feels like it as most ‘teenaged’ dogs do ) He will go to his new home with his harness, leash, Martingale collar, favorite toy, favorite treats, and whatever food remains when he is adopted! Located in: NH but we can transport him almost anywhere. Application in comments. If you are interested in adopting Sawyer, please click at the link below CRNE Adoption Application Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. Sawyer’s adoption donation is $450 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and neuter depending on age at time of adoption. If the dog is too young for a spay/neuter then they will be adopted with a spay/neuter contract and deposit. We do not have a physical shelter; all our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada. |
