Name: Reggie
Breed: Catahoula Cur Age/Sex: 6 years old, male Weight: 54 lbs Medical: UTD on all vaccines, Neutered, microchipped, Heartworm Tested Cat Friendly: unknown Dog Friendly: gets along with our older dogs and attends doggie daycare/grooming but needs introductions in a neutral territory I’m not sure how he would do in a home with another dog Kid Friendly: no young kids. He would do fine with older children that understand cues and boundaries Crate Trained: as a puppy yes but no longer placed in a crate House Trained: yes Location: Meriden, CT Reggie is a sweet, gentle old soul who has been a cherished member of his family since he was adopted as a puppy from a high-kill rescue. He has a loving, loyal personality and is happiest when he is close to his people, whether he’s relaxing in the same room, going for a walk, exploring outside or earning a favorite treat. Reggie forms strong bonds with those he trusts and would thrive with someone looking for a devoted companion to share everyday life with. Reggie can be cautious when meeting new people, unfamiliar dogs, and during car rides, so he appreciates slow introductions and a patient approach. He also takes a few extra seconds to process commands before responding, and he does best with consistency and understanding, and positive reinforcement. Once he feels safe, his affectionate and gentle nature truly shines. Because Reggie is most comfortable in a calm, predictable environment, he is looking for a home without young children. This was an incredibly difficult decision for his family, made out of love and with his best interests at heart. They are committed to finding him a patient, understanding home where he can feel secure, continue to build confidence, and spend his days surrounded by the love he deserves CRNE Adoption Application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1rjvYvkyGRug-gnCPcHFB49ksrZlQNlYQddGnkoVvNNA/viewform?fbclid=IwAR1Z3LWcB1HW2pncs-N64t1xdlD6Fm9P137xk6MErsLOE4ObXQ9erCAk-nM&edit_requested=true Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers.
