This girl is pure love. She is full of kisses, loves to snuggle and just wants to be always near her humans. She’ll follow you from room to room, a sweet shadow. But this girl is active too. She gets antsy without enough exercise. She gets along great with her foster siblings; loves to run in the yard and is a scrappy little wrestler, so would do well in a home with another dog.
As a solo dog, and with a little more leash work, I think she’d be an excellent jogging or hiking buddy. She's very cooperative being crated, although will complain sometimes at night, as she’d much rather join you in the bed. Very treat-motivated, she’ll likely respond will to consistent training. She has the cutest one-up, one-down ears and this sweetheart even smiles!

Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.

If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.

Pepper’s adoption donation is $450 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and neuter depending on age at time of adoption. We do not have a physical shelter; all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
