Eclipse
Breed: Catahoula and Plott hound Mix Age: 1 Year +/- Weight: 65 lbs Medical: Up-To Up-To-Date on Vaccinations, microchipped, Spayed Cat Friendly: No Dog Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Ages 10+ House Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Location: New Hampshire I was on death row in Texas and got transferred out of that animal shelter. I am now safe, microchipped, spayed and up to date on my vaccinations. Then when I went into foster, I met a cat with a very sassy attitude, so I tried to put her in her place. Long story short, I learned that I don’t do well with animals that have attitudes. I prefer dogs if they have easy going attitudes. I’m a very affectionate gal and I LOVE to cuddle. But don’t leave me alone for too long, because when I start to miss my humans, I get antsy. I’m house-trained, so I can spend three-four hours in a kennel daily, after multiple walks in the morning, but if you leave me longer; I get curious and try to find a way out of my kennel. I’m a very active girl and like my exercise. I prefer to go on walks four-six times a day to get my energy out and become the loving and affectionate girl I am. I walk with ease on my leash, but I have not been taken off my leash yet outside, because when I pick up a scent, I will track down where the scent is coming from. I’m a very smart gal. If you ever lose a dirty sock, I’m the girl to help you find it. I know the commands eat, sit, and home. I’m in the process of learning what stay, down and come means. You can help me further learn those words because I’m very food motivated. If you are interested in adopting Eclipse, click at the link below: http://www.nehoularescue.com/adoption-application.html Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. Eclipse’s adoption donation is $450 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and neuter depending on age at time of adoption. We do not have physical shelter; all our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada. |
