My name’s Bullet, but my foster parents call me Hobbs. I know what you’re thinking–”Look how HANDSOME he is!”–but once you get to know me, my heart and personality become the real stars of the show. I’m a big fan of pets, ear rubs, neck massages, and belly rubs–so much so that I may not let you stop. Although I have an independent side, I love snuggling and curling up in your lap for a nice snooze. My foster mom calls me a diamond in the ruff..whatever that means. My favorite activity is hanging outside in the backyard where I can play with toys, bask in the sun, or chase birds and bugs. If you have a kiddie pool for me to splash around in, you’ll even get to see my silly side. I’m a great security system, too! I’m house trained and do great when left home alone–no crate needed! I’m a gentleman and will only chew on and play with toys that you give me. Hopefully you’ll be willing to partake in some tug of war with me because that’s my favorite game. I know basic commands, but I’m incredibly smart and eager to learn new and more challenging tricks. In true catahoula fashion, I can be stubborn so my new family will need to give me structure and have patience in order for me to succeed. I’m a sweet, friendly guy and love meeting new people. Kids might be too much for me, though. While I have lived with other dogs in my foster homes, I would thrive as your one and only. I had a rough start to life, so I’m still trying to get the hang of how to behave in some situations. I really deserve a loving and patient forever family who will give me lots of love, cuddles, and peanut butter. If you can give me those things, I’ll be your best and most loyal pal and companion If you are interested in adopting Bullet, visit our website and download the application: http://www.nehoularescue.com/adoption-application.html Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. Bullet’s adoption donation is $350 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada. |
