Bree
Breed: Catahoula Leopard Hound / Australian cattle Dog Mix Age: 1-2 year old +/- Weight: 40 lbs Medical: Up-To Up-To-Date on Vaccinations, microchipped, Spayed Cat Friendly: Unknown Dog Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Ages 10+ House Trained: Yes Crate Trained: Yes Location: Maine Bree has been an absolute pleasure to foster! She came to me from a household that didn't quite understand her and her quirks. She is crate trained and potty trained! She had one accident when I first brought her home but that was pure nerves and unfamiliarity. She has opened up much faster than any foster I've had. Each day she gets more and more comfortable with our schedule and shows us her true colors. She adores attention, in fact she LOVES attention. If she isn’t center of attention, she will do what she can to make sure she is! Whether it be grabbing as many toys as she can and dropping them in your lap or crawling up into your lap herself. Bree would excel in a home with or without dogs, I have two dogs currently, a 100lb male and a 40lb female who are her best playmates. She plays 24/7 with them. I know she would do amazing without another dog in the home. She is more inclined to listen to commands without other dogs around due to the fact she is still very young and doesn't seem to have had much structure before. Bree walks great on a leash, cuddles on the couch, plays great with other dogs, and does well with both men and women. I have had Bree around a few children lately and she is a little too hyper for young kids in my opinion. She just wants to play and gets a little mouthy with her humans, nothing aggressive just rough play. If you are interested in adopting Bree, click at the link below: http://www.nehoularescue.com/adoption-application.html Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. Bree’s adoption donation is $450 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and neuter depending on age at time of adoption. We do not have a physical shelter; all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada. |
