Bo
Breed: Australian Cattle Dog mix Age/Sex: 7m Male Weight: 30 pounds Medical: up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, not yet neutered Cat Friendly: no Dog Friendly: Yes, but would be fine as the only dog Kid Friendly: Yes Crate Trained: yes House Trained: yes Location: Maine Meet Bo - The Cuddliest Little Cowboy Bo is great with respectful children and other playful dogs, making him a great family companion. He would prefer to be the only little critter in the house, so no cats or small animals please! He is playful, social, but when it’s time to wind down, he turns into a snuggle old soul that makes the sweetest “grandpa grunts” as we call them. Whether he is curled up next to you on the couch or playing fetch (his personal fav), Bo is happiest when he is close to people. He is the kind of dog who will melt your heart everyday. Speaking of hearts, did you notice the heart marking on his forehead!? This guy is all love. Bo is ready to find his forever companion(s). If you are looking for a sweet, funny and loving pup to join your pack, come meet Bo- you will absolutely fall in love with him. Bo is doing great with learning his basic commands & tricks, leash training and crate training. He is fully potty trained so long as you stay on top of letting him outside. He does get a little upset in his crate if others are around partying without him, I don’t blame him! But does great at night. He is good with kids who can handle their own (we are working on down!), and gets along with all humans if you sweet talk him upon meeting. He gets along with other dogs but please be aware, Bo came alone from the streets as a puppy. He is very food motivated and food aggressive around other dogs. Stick to feeding separately and try not to eat your food around him and other dogs. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family. If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered. Luna’s adoption donation is $500 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and Neuter depending on age at time of adoption. If the dog is too young for a spay/neuter, then they will be adopted with a spay/neuter contract and deposit. We do not have a physical shelter; all our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada. |
