Zephyr is a two-and-a-half-year-old Catahoula. She is caramel colored with bright blue eyes. She is an energetic, exuberant adolescent pup. Zephyr is a love and when she looks at you with those eyes, your heart will melt and any issues will melt away. She loves approval and does well with consistency. She enjoys car rides. Prior to the Covid outbreak Zephyr was just starting Agility training and loving it!
She has been raised in a home with four other dogs, she may occasionally chase a cat but it is not aggressive. She is protective and is stranger wary in a true and typical Catahoula way, especially in her home. She has not really been exposed to children, therefore we recommend a home with older children.
Zephyr is very food motivated and eager to please. She truly needs a home that has Catahoula experience and is active. If you have the experience, the time and the stamina to keep up with this love bug – please reach out to us!
If you are interested in adopting Zephyr Rose, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and request an application. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.
If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.
Zephyr Rose’s adoption donation is $400 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
