Wyatt is a young dog who still has quite a bit of growing and learning to do. He will make you laugh with his goofy and outgoing personality and is also big into cuddling. He knows some basic commands already but would benefit and grow with more training as he’s just a pup still. He is crate trained and house trained. He does well with other dogs and loves to play! He does have a lot of energy though so; some dogs may find him irritating. His foster home is the first place he’s been around cats and he does quite well with them, very interested, but in a friendly playful way.
Like most young dogs he needs to learn boundaries and personal space, he doesn’t seem to quite realize how big he is. He loves squeaky toys and being busy but doesn’t quite have the concept of fetch down just yet. Being a high energy boy an active family would be ideal, with plenty of room to run.
If you are interested in adopting Wyatt, visit our website and download the application: http://www.nehoularescue.com/adoption-application.html Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.
If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.
Wyatt’s adoption donation is $400 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
