This blue-eyed beauty is Wrigley! He is an extremely affectionate dog who welcomes you at the door with big hugs and gentle face kisses. He is cool as a cucumber on walks and focuses on checking the daily canine mail (aka taking in all the smells left behind by other four-legged friends). When Wrigley is in enclosed outdoor space, you get to experience his contagious energy. He loves to run, fetch tennis balls (his favorite), and release his “zoomies!”
Even with Wrigley’s hearing impairment, he has learned “sit,” “paw,” and “come” - both the signals and commands - all within a few days. This smart pooch loves to please his humans and is eager to learn new tricks (all for a little cookie, of course!). Wrigley enjoys going for long walks in the neighborhood, taking afternoon slumbers in the sun, and rolling over for a serious belly-rub!
Being hard of hearing, Wrigley gets spooked easily if visitors and dogs don’t approach from the front, for he cannot tell if someone or something is drawing near. Despite this minor impairment, he is cordial with other dogs after a friendly introduction, and plays with them as if they have been friends for years. Wrigley loves people so much that he does not want to be separated from you, even just for a few minutes. With a little time and patience, he will surely learn how to remain calm and quiet during time apart.
Wrigley is a sweet, playful, quirky, and handsome pup who would flourish in an only-dog home that can meet his energy needs. If you’re looking for a lovable lap-dog, a fanatic fetcher, or a committed compadre, Wrigley is your guy!
If you are interested in adopting Wrigley, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and request an application. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.
If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.
Wrigley’s adoption donation is $400 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
