Riley Mae is a 4 year old female Catahoula. She is true to the breed and enjoys vigorous exercise and needs it! She especially enjoys running through the woods and marshes and cooling off in a river or beach with a gradual slope and minimal waves. She even loves the snow! Riley loves most dogs and is very friendly to those that she knows.
As a typical catahoula, she is protective of her family. Riley loves to keep her yard free from birds, squirrels, and turkeys. She is afraid of thunderstorms and often needs to be reassured during storms and high wind. Riley is in excellent health. Riley will need an experienced Catahoula home that understands the breed and can provide the exercise and leadership that is necessary to keep her happy as well as the mental stimulation!
If you are interested in adopting Miss Riley please email firstname.lastname@example.org and request an application. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you
will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to
answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.
If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.
Riley Mae's adoption donation is $400 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter.
We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
