Hi there, my name is Cassion, and my foster mom calls me Cal. You could call me whatever you would like, but I hope you call me yours soon! My foster mom says that I am the wiggliest dog she has ever seen, and that I wiggle so fast sometimes that it's like my little paws are levitating half an inch above the ground. I am just so overjoyed to be a house dog! Speaking of houses, I've got great house manners and do not like to potty inside (I will even pee outside in the rain!). I don't like to be locked in a crate, so my foster mom has trusted me free in my very own big bedroom, and I've heard she spies on me throughout the day on the pet camera to laugh at me while I am destroying my stuffies... hey, what can I say, I am good entertainment!
I sleep well alone at night and don't howl or bark, I am actually a pretty quiet boy! I look forward to my daily walks (or jogs), and don't pay any mind to the other people or dogs I see while out and about. I am happy to have a quick play with a dog friend*, but don't want to share a house with any other creatures except my humans!
I am around a year and a half and approximately a lean 43lbs. I am looking for a family who loves to play and explore as much as I do. I am hoping there are no shortages of food puzzles, scratches, and hikes in my future! Oh, and maybe also sweaters, I look pretty cute in them, even if my current ones are a size too big! I don't mind car rides and happily jump in on my own and when I get bored of looking around, I lie down for a snooze... no car sickness here!
I am a very happy, sweet, silly boy and I hope you give me a chance!
If you are interested in adopting Caisson, visit our website and download the application: http://www.nehoularescue.com/adoption-application.html Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.
If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.
Caisson’s adoption donation is $400 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
