Bambi was found at a local Motel 6, after 48 shares on Facebook and flyers put up around the community, there was no luck finding her family. It’s hard to believe that anyone would let this sweet girl go! Bambi wants someone who wants a companion, she loves to be next to her “person” 24/7
She doesn’t much like walks, she would rather you carry her, and she loves going for car rides. She loves to play with toys, but only if you are playing with her, her favorite toys are balls. Bambi does well with dogs of all sizes, and she is great with cats (if your cats don’t mind the occasional ankle bite) sometimes I think Bambi thinks she’s a cat herself, she just wants to make friends.
She is good with older kids; (she just wants attention & cuddles). When feeding Bambi, she doesn’t like to eat her food at once, she’d rather savor it and nibble throughout the day. When we first got Bambi, she only made little squeaks (like a mouse) but as she grew comfortable we realized she is quite the talker! If you are looking to adopt your best friend, please consider Bambi, she is ready for her for-ever home.
If you are interested in adopting Bambi, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and request an application. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.
If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.
Bambi’s adoption donation is $400 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
