Audra is a very sweet loving girl who loves to be around people and cuddle on the couch. She is very quiet and at times reserved, but we do have four other dogs in our home so it can be overwhelming. She likes to play with our red heeler and they do romp around for a bit, which ends with her wanting to take a nap! She is very cute and she absolutely loves being around us, especially my husband. She likes to snuggle! She does a cute little dance when it’s time for food and she is super fast when she runs around the yard.
She does need work on the leash, and has a little bit of the stubborn catahoula attitude at times, but she doesn’t pull on the leash, she just hasn’t had much leash work. She has been good in the house, though she has gone to chew on the chair leg a few times and I just give her an antler instead and she stops. She is a little shy but has been opening up over the last two weeks. She is such a sweet cuddle bug! I think she will be great going on walks and hikes and camping. She would really enjoy a family of her own where she gets to be spoiled like the princess she is.
If you are interested in adopting Audra please email email@example.com and request an application. Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.
If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.
Audra's adoption donation is $400 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test when appropriate and is on preventative, microchip, and neuter. We do not have a physical shelter, all of our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
